Tattoo Aftercare Guide

As with all skincare products, individual reactions may vary. Always patch test before use. If you have known skin allergies or sensitivities consult a dermatologist before use.

Wash Ingredients: 

Aqua (Water), Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Glycerin, Glyceryl-2 Cocoate, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Levulinic Acid, Sodium Gluconate, Citric Acid, Sodium Chloride.

Balm Ingredients: 

Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract (infused in Jojoba Oil), Cera Alba (Organic Beeswax), Mangifera Indica (Mango) Seed Butter, Limnanthes Alba (Meadowfoam) Seed Oil.

Allergen Notice (Balm): 

This product contains Beeswax and Mango Seed Butter which may cause reactions in individuals with related allergies. Always perform a patch test before applying to tattooed skin. Apply a small amount to inner wrist and wait 24 hours before full use. Discontinue immediately if redness, itching, swelling or irritation occurs.

Allergen Notice ( Wash): 

This product contains Sodium Laureth Sulfate and Cocamidopropyl Betaine. Individuals with sensitive skin or sulfate sensitivities should perform a patch test before use. Discontinue immediately if irritation occurs.

Discontinue use if irritation or rash occurs.


KEEP THE BANDAGE ON FOR THE AMOUNT OF TIME YOUR ARTIST SUGGEST.

STEP 1: Wash your hands.

STEP 2: Gently remove the Second Skin or saran wrap.

STEP 3: Wet skin with lukewarm water.

  • Dispense a pea-sized amount into clean hands and gently cleanse the area.
  • Rinse thoroughly and pat dry with a clean paper towel.

STEP 4: Add a thin layer of Inkk Aftercare Tattoo Balm. (Do not over-apply. A little goes a long way)

 

Think "light shine" - not thick, not greasy.

 

THE NEXT 10-14 DAYS

Do this 2-3 times a day:

  • Wash hands.
  • Gently wash tattoo with Inkk Cleanse Tattoo Wash.
  • Pat dry
  • Apply a thin layer of Inkk Aftercare Tattoo Balm

As for all products please patch test.

Discontinue use if irritation occurs.

 



"What’s Normal vs. Not Normal"

What’s normal
  • Redness, warmth, or tenderness

  • Light swelling

  • Clear fluid or light plasma

  • Flaking or peeling

What’s NOT normal
  • Excessive swelling

  • Yellow/green discharge

  • Intense pain or spreading redness

  • Fever or chills

If any of the above occur, consult a licensed professional.


What to Avoid While Healing

  • No soaking (baths, pools, oceans)

  • No direct sun exposure

  • No tight clothing over the tattoo

  • No fragranced lotions or petroleum products


Long-Term Care (Ink Longevity)

Long-term care matters. Keep your tattoo moisturized, protected from the sun, and nourished to maintain vibrancy over time.
